Another successful night in the pool for #TeamGB

After the heroics from Adam Peaty and Jazz Carlin earlier this week; it was the turn of Siobhan Marie - O'Connor and the Men's 400m relay team of Stephen Milne, Robbie Renwick, Daniel Wallace and Duncan Scott to take centre stage. Marie - O'Connor won silver in the 200m individual Medley and became the first British woman to win a Olympic medal in the race. She also smashed her own British record of 2.06.88 in an incredible race. It has been a tough few years for the swimmer with health issues, so this medal win was all that bit sweeter and hugely deserved,

It was then the 400m relay team that took silver, missing out on gold to the Americans on the night. The team, who are reigning world champions took home GB's 5th medal of the games. It also meant we have had our most successful Olympics in the pool since LA 1984 to make it that bit sweeter.

It has been a remarkable effort so far from the swimmers and we still have some diving to look forward to!

If you are into your swimming, then don't miss out on our exciting launch night event in London on the 22nd September. We will be interviewing former Olympian swimmer Joanne Jackson and getting her opinions on how Team GB got on at Rio 16. Early bird tickets will be closing very soon, so get yours now at the website www.livesporttalks.com.

Thanks for reading and enjoy this evenings Olympic action!
