Fact file on our October guest Paralympic discus thrower Dan Greaves

We are very excited to have Paralympic Discus thrower Dan Greaves as a guest for our October event. We have put together a fact file on our guest to give you an idea of what to expect!

Name - Dan Greaves

Born - 4th October 1982

Place of birth - Antsey, Leicestershire

First games - Paralympic games in Sydney 2000

Accomplishments -11 medals including a Paralympic Gold at Athens 2004 and a Silver at London 2012. Broke 2 world records in 2004 ( Athens ) and 2011 ( World Athletic Championships in New Zealand )

Did you know? Dan was chosen to compete with the able bodied squad in 2001 for a tour of America.

First tried discus throwing when his PE teacher encouraged him to get involved.

He has a masters degree in sports science and business managements from Loughborough in 2007.
